Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Motion Analysis Lab at Rosalind Franklin University has an opening for a temporary research assistant position to work on projects using wearable sensor and machine learning.

This is a temporary position scheduled to work 30 hours per week, between 6/22/2026 and 9/08/2026.

While this position is not eligible for our regular employee benefits, all RFU employees are eligible to accrue personal leave in accordance with IL law. All RFU employees are also eligible to make unmatched contributions to voluntary supplemental pre-tax and post-tax retirement plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process wearable sensor data
  • Develop machine learning models

  • Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check

Required Education & Experience

  • Graduate student in computer science

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Programming (Python)
  • Experience working with wearable sensor (IMU) data.
