The Program Manager will support the implementation and growth of global health initiatives focused on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular disease and cancer. Working within the Center for Global Health, this role collaborates closely with faculty, clinical leaders, and international partners to advance research, training, and capacity-building programs in low- and middle-income countries. This role suited for candidates with 2-3 years of experience in program or project management, particularly in global health, academic medicine, or health systems strengthening. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate day-to-day operations of global NCD programs, including multi-country initiatives - Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and workplans in collaboration with faculty and partners - Track progress toward program goals and proactively identify and address implementation challenges - Support financial tracking, including monitoring budgets, expenses, and grant allocations - Provide direct support to faculty-led initiatives, including research studies, pilot programs, and training efforts - Assist with IRB submissions, research coordination, and compliance requirements as needed - Contribute to manuscript development, reports, and presentations - Serve as a liaison between MGB faculty and international partners, including ministries of health, NGOs, and academic institutions - Coordinate meetings, site visits, and technical exchanges - Support the planning and execution of workshops, trainings, and convenings - Support development and implementation of monitoring & evaluation frameworks - Collect, analyze, and synthesize program data to inform decision-making - Prepare progress reports, donor updates, and internal briefings - Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports - Conduct background research and landscape analyses to support funding opportunities - Help track pipeline opportunities aligned with NCD priorities - Coordinate logistics for international travel, meetings, and program activities - Maintain organized documentation of program materials and communications - Support cross-functional coordination within the Center for Global Health Summary Responsible for managing all aspects of a program and corresponding projects. Implements initiatives that support alignment with organizational goals and strategic planning. Leads the communication and collaboration with stakeholders. Develops the program schedule, budget, and various program and project plan details. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates to program leadership. Identifies and escalates issues and risks and recommends solutions. Leads and provides guidance and support to other administrative team members. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Leads program and project teams and coordinates and delegates cross-project initiatives. -Conducts research, manages and analyzes data in systems, and develops reports and presentations to support programs. -Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges associated with programs and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. -Monitor program progress and proactively address deviations from plans, timelines, or budgets. -Manages the program budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Education Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Global Health, Health Policy, or related field required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Experience in global health, health systems strengthening, or chronic disease programs required Familiarity with IRB processes and human subjects research preferred Experience working with international partners, particularly in low- and middle-income countries preferred Exposure to donor-funded programs (e.g., foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies) preferred Working Conditions
