Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Registered Nurse in Eatontown, NJ. The Registered Nurse provides direct, non-emergency care to patients in clinics, urgent cares, or surgical centers.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NJ.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, wound care, and IV line management.
  • Strong time management and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Pulmonary experience preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, or physician offices.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NJ.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Daytime hours with minimal, if any, weekend requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, and monitor blood pressure.
  • Assist with minor surgeries, diagnostic tests, or wound care; ensure safe delivery of treatments.
  • Administer medications, including vaccinations and specialized treatments.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, self-care, and medication, particularly regarding pre- and post-operative instructions.
  • Update patient files, document clinical observations, and retrieve/input data into electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, handle phone triage, and manage follow-up care.
  • Oversee Medical Assistant clinical competency and conduct patient interviews.
