Armed Security Officer - Field Patrol

As an Armed Security Officer - Field Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. This role blends strong communication, customer service, and quick decision-making while supporting a caring team culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $27.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident, activity, and/or shift reports and communicate relevant updates with site contacts, supervisors, and/or responding agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
