As a Security Officer Grounds Patrol in Trenton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with outstanding service and communication. In this role, you will bring agility, reliability, and innovation to each shift while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards such as spills, unsecured doors, or unattended items, and document observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or de-escalation during busy periods, special events, and high-traffic times while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
