Supporting this mission, we seek a Campus President, who will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This individual is the senior executive representing the Wilmington Hospital. Operationalizes the health system's strategy and responsible for campus operations (clinical and non-clinical), campus financial performance and campus growth. Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Creates a campus environment that recognizes and values diversity, is inclusive and addresses the unique needs of a diverse workforce, patient population, and community.
  • Ensures the organizational vision, values, strategic goals, and objectives are operationalized on the campus resulting in high quality outcomes in an efficient, effective, and patient and caregiver centered environment.
  • Maintains a high level of visibility throughout the campus, and prioritizes a high level of engagement with caregivers developing relationships at all levels
  • Champions continuous improvement and a culture of problem solving and rapidly deploying solutions.
  • Identifies and removes barriers to meeting annual operating plan, influences and drives change and transformation, both strategic and operational.
  • Partners with Medical Group service line leadership, providers, and affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) to deliver cost effective, high quality clinical services and outcomes that optimize the delivery of patient care.
  • Implements plans and leads projects with multidisciplinary teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) in areas including quality & safety, clinical effectiveness, patient flow, patient experience, and caregiver experience.
  • Delivers economic performance by setting financial objectives through budget planning and by controlling operational expenses. Responsible for the profit and loss statement and leads annual budget process incorporating campus essential services.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Master's Degree required, preferably an MHA, MSN, MBA, or related degree.
  • Ten (10) years of results-oriented experience in healthcare operations, financial management and development experience is required with progressive management experience in a hospital environment with success in matrix operating structures.
  • Knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery system and health care trends.
  • Strong leadership and complex organization management skills at a strategic and operational level.

Annual Compensation Range $102,502.40 - $10,249,990.40 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
