About the Role

Our client, a major utility and energy company, is looking for a Senior HR Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale, mid-to-long-term Human Resources initiatives on a 6-month contract basis, with potential for extension. This is a high-visibility role that combines strategic thinking with disciplined execution - you'll partner closely with senior HR and business leaders to drive projects that shape the employee experience and organizational effectiveness across a large, complex organization.

What You'll Do

Lead Complex HR Projects End-to-End Own full accountability for the planning, execution, and delivery of one or more large HR projects - managing scope, budget, timelines, and outcomes with rigor and transparency.

Partner with Senior Leadership Engage regularly with senior management as a trusted consultant on critical HR business issues. Contribute to the development of business plans, organizational objectives, and HR initiatives that deliver measurable results.

Drive Change Management Take a lead role in designing and executing change management strategies. Develop communication plans and materials that keep employees and stakeholders informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage Vendors & Governance Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure contract terms and project deliverables are met. Apply strong project governance, change control, and formal approval processes to keep projects on track.

Measure and Report on Value Implement reporting dashboards, metrics tracking, and benefits realization frameworks to provide clear visibility into project health and demonstrate HR project ROI.

What You'll Bring



  • 5-7 years of progressive project management experience, with a strong track record leading HR or people-focused initiatives
  • Experience managing formal, phase-based (Waterfall) projects and applying Agile/Scrum practices in hybrid delivery environments
  • Solid knowledge of project governance, change control, and procurement/vendor management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • PMP certification preferred; equivalent certification or demonstrated experience will be considered
