The Proposal & Pursuit Specialist plays a central role in how HoganTaylor pursues and wins new client engagements. This role leads the Firm's proposal process and supports strategic pursuits by helping partners and client teams translate their expertise into compelling proposals and pursuit materials.
Sitting within the Client Success team, the Proposal & Pursuit Specialist works closely with partners, Client Success Managers, marketing, and service line leaders to coordinate proposal development, strengthen the Firm's pursuit infrastructure, and improve how HoganTaylor goes to market.
The role supports the proposal lifecycle from intake through submission, bringing structure, consistency, and insight into the Firm's pursuit activity. It is a highly collaborative position with visibility across the Firm and the opportunity to influence how HoganTaylor competes for and wins new business.
What You'll Do
Proposal & Pursuit Coordination
Coordinate the Firm's proposal development process and pursuit efforts across teams.
- Facilitate proposal intake and kickoff discussions to align teams on scope, messaging, and timelines
- Coordinate the development of client proposals, RFP responses, and pursuit materials
- Draft and assemble proposal content using Firm templates, credentials, and prior materials
- Collaborate with partners and subject matter experts to refine messaging and positioning
- Manage revision cycles and maintain proposal momentum through submission
- Coordinate final production and submission of proposal materials
Strategic Pursuit Support
Support partners and client teams in preparing for high-value opportunities.
- Assist in the development of finalist presentations and pursuit materials
- Conduct basic prospect research and internal relationship discovery to strengthen proposals
- Coordinate internal teams involved in pursuit efforts
- Support follow-up conversations and capture insights when the Firm's proposal is not selected
Proposal Infrastructure & Intelligence
Strengthen the Firm's proposal resources and generate insight that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal process.
- Maintain proposal templates, content library, and commonly used proposal materials
- Ensure proposal activity and outcomes are properly recorded in CRM
- Track proposal activity and analyze proposal performance, win rates, and pursuit trends
- Identify opportunities to improve proposal processes and consistency across the Firm
What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in proposal development, pursuit management, marketing, or business development
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex deadlines and stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory environments
- Experience managing RFP and proposal processes
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proposal tracking tools
