Rousselot in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a skilled full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician. THE BASICS Pay: Starting at $37.11+, depending on experience Benefits: Excellent benefits through the CBA Medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, and scholarship programs for children Generous 401K and profit sharing plans Paid holidays, vacation, and sick pay Unique opportunities for growth and additional compensation SCHEDULE We offer Monday-Friday shifts with three options: 6:30AM - 3:00 PM, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM, or 10:00 PM-7:00 AM. On-call weekends are scheduled a year in advance with two mechanics on call. You may not be called in, but you'll earn four hours of pay just for carrying the phone. If you are called in you automatically receive 4 hours of straight time pay even if the job only takes 30 minutes. For longer call ins you receive time and a half on Saturdays, or double time on Sundays. YOUR DAY AS AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you proactively maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Your responsibilities include installing electrical systems per national codes, programming and supporting various systems, and updating electrical schematics and documentation. You conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, improve maintenance procedures, and document your activities diligently. Whether diagnosing mechanical issues or supporting automation technologies, you prioritize inventory management, adhere to GMP and food safety protocols, and contribute to a strong food safety culture while ensuring optimal equipment performance. REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ROLE High school diploma or equivalency 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with electrical and mechanical Experience with industrial automation and controls, preferably Rockwell/Allen- Bradley systems Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Physically able to lift up to 50 and perform tasks like standing, walking, climbing, and crawling Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around hazardous materials Skilled in reading schematics and using tools and equipment Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in the electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance field Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and lead small projects or teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with effective time-management skills DISCOVER WHO WE ARE Rousselot is one of the world's leading producers of gelatin and is a recognized partner in the pharmaceutical, food and fuel industries.
