Description and Requirements

The AI Portfolio Manager Intern will support AI strategy and portfolio management across multiple product segments, including consumer PCs, commercial devices, tablets, and mobile. This role focuses on understanding AI industry trends, scouting innovative startups, and helping collect and analyze data from different business segments to inform AI planning and investment decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in AI, a technical foundation, and curiosity about how AI is shaping products and markets.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Industry Trends

  • Research and track AI industry trends, technologies, and competitive developments
  • Collect, organize, and summarize AI-related news, market insights, and emerging trends
  • Support internal strategy efforts by contributing to insight decks and analysis reports

Innovation & Startup Scouting

  • Assist in scouting innovative AI startups and technologies
  • Help identify potential opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, or pilot initiatives
  • Organize findings and insights related to startup ecosystems and emerging AI solutions

AI Portfolio Management & Data Collection

  • Support AI portfolio management across product segments (consumer PC, commercial, tablet, mobile)
  • Collect requirements and AI-related input from different business units and product segments
  • Gather and organize product, volume, and experience data to support portfolio analysis
  • Help prepare materials and presentations tailored to different segments and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and technologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and presentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background or coursework related to AI, machine learning, or software systems
  • Interest in technology strategy, portfolio management, or innovation scouting
  • Experience conducting research, competitive analysis, or industry trend analysis
  • Ability to work across teams and understand different business and product perspectives
