JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for controlling the quantity of tomatoes and juice. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Adhere to Red Gold policies, rules, and regulations, including GMP's and safety
• Work as a team player with members of the crew and all others in the plant
• Controls the level of the tomatoes in the line to assure proper quantity in terms of juice and weight
• Other assignments as found necessary by Leads, Supervisors or Managers
• Keep bottles and product flowing at a predetermined rate
• Keep caps in the capper
• Remove broken or damaged bottles from the line
• Remove bad bottles from cooler inspector and remain product as necessary
• Must be able to shut down and restart all equipment on the line
• Keep area clean and neat
• Maintain neat, accurate, written records of caps ran during your shift

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• On the job training regarding HACCP Training by HACCP Coordinator
• Must be able to successfully use basic math and writing skills necessary to complete the required paperwork
• Must be able to understand bottle and product flow
• On the job training includes the operating controls and procedures for the capping and filling machines and the aseptic process and the importance of keeping the machines clean

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Be able to walk and remain on your feet for extended periods of time

* Use personal protective equipment such as Hairnet and Ear plugs

* Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels

* Standing- to complete most all tasks

* Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment

* Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox

* Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels

* Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment

* Squatting

* Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine

* Twisting- to perform work activities

* Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires

• Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
• Must be able to operate basic electrical switches to run equipment
• Must be able to do some basic maintenance on the filler (change valves)

* Must be able to lift full boxes of caps to shoulder height
