To achieve this goal, theHardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE) teamis instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardwaredevelopment andmanufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery,scale,and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware.ThisHardwarePMroleintheComputeTPM Team will play a pivotal role indelivering newserverhardware and softwaretechnologiesat scale that have asignificant impacttothe business and Azure.This candidate will collaborate with both internal Microsoft teams and external suppliers (Semiconductor providers,OEMs/ODMs,CPU, system,memory,and others) to drive delivery of core technologies that enable ourCloudinfrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Technical Hardware Program Manager to join the team. Responsibilities Drive virtual teams of functional leads including members from hardware and software engineering, sourcing, supply chain,networkingand datacenter operationsfromdocumenting a clear Plan-of-Record (POR) for the new product developmenttoleading the project team to meet stated milestones. Technical Program Management for new Cloud hardware development. Drive the development, planning & execution of a holistic cross functional product development and/or launch strategy. Provides technical leadership andidentifytechnical risks. Collaborate with internal and external technology development partners to form a cohesive development plan. Have an in-depth understanding of the product technical requirements, milestones,deliverables,and interdependencies forestablishingan accurateand effective project infrastructure. Leverage experience and engineering skills to solve problems, fillgapsand achieveobjectivesthrough a cross functional team. Responsible for effective communication and escalation of risks and dependencies while ensuringtimelydecisions are being made. Hold accountability for team and most or all portions of the work to deliver best in class architecturesolutions. Theability to engage subject matter experts across disciplines to deliver the best outcomes. Conducts risk management efforts in new product introduction, scenario planning and mitigation of risks, recovery from risks. Communicate to and regularly interact with seniorleadership, highlighting risks across functional teams and providing recommendations to support product leveldecisions. Operate effectively inambiguity. Applyprocesswhere it creates value, and design process whereit'sneeded. Recognize the situations where each approach is mostappropriate. Ensure cross functional alignment: generating clarity, tracking towards development milestones and overall readiness for all new Data Center infrastructure development, launch, and deployments. Use program management tools and communication methods to ensurecommonunderstanding of programplanofrecord tostakeholders. Monitor and measure engineering impact, performanceresultsand process efficiency.Apply AI tools tostream lineprocesses. Other Embody ourCultureandValues Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in design and delivery of Hardware engineering products. 4+ years of technical program management or project management experience or a technical role with systems engineeringexperience, preferably in Cloud silicon, server design, accelerators, Networking solutions, FW & SW development and deployment, and systems solutions from cradle to grave. 3+ years of experience in managing a team of engineering and/or technical operations professionals responsible for critical systems and operations in a matrix organization. Excellent technical design, problem solving, debugging and communication skills Demonstrated experience in shipping high quality products and services Ability to deal with ambiguity, assess opportunities and develop principles to prioritize multiple strategic and tactical options, and drive issues to closure with a high bar onquality Proven ability to work and collaborate with a wide range of business stakeholders to achieve results andimpact Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management, etc.) Supplier management experience for ODMs, SIs, and IHVs #azurehwjobs#Azure #SCHIE Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
