Overview
Microsoft's Worldwide Tax & Customs organization is responsible for global tax reporting, compliance, and process excellence that enables the business to innovate and scale responsibly. The Indirect Tax Group Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant indirect tax reporting while continuously improving processes, controls, and reporting capabilities. This role combines deep indirect tax compliance expertise with people leadership. The Group Manager leads a team of tax professionals responsible for indirect tax compliance activities, partners crossfunctionally with Finance, Tax Technology, Audit, and business stakeholders, and drives scalable, datadriven solutions that strengthen Microsoft's tax risk posture. Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, the ability to translate complex tax and legislative requirements into clear operational guidance, and a demonstrated commitment to coaching, developing, and empowering others. Tax M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
