  • POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the facility's conveyor sorter system by identifying and resolving operational issues that may impact performance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining sorter uptime to support overall distribution center productivity and operational efficiency. Requires strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and a sense of urgency when responding to system interruptions. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential to success in this high-visibility position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

    • Monitor sorter operations to ensure the system is functioning properly and running consistently to avoid negative impact to warehouse operations.
    • Clear product jams and stalls to maintain the smooth and continuous flow of merchandise throughout the facility.
    • Troubleshoot operational issues related to sorter performance and coordinate with Maintenance when necessary to resolve problems.
    • Notify Supervisors and MIS of extended sorter shutdowns or other operational concerns that may impact facility productivity.
    • Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
    • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other production areas as needed based on workload demands.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the area Supervisor or Manager.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive attitude.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates reliability with a strong attendance record.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to supporting company goals.
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Requires continuous awareness and attention in an active warehouse environment.

Regular activities may include standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the facility.
