Location: Columbia, MD
Schedule: 22.5 Hours per week | June-August 2026
Salary: $18 - $20 per hour

    Position Summary:

    Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Technical Training Intern to support the Technical Training team in the development and improvement of training programs. In this role, you will assist with the creation of online training modules, support updates to existing digital coursework, and help organize course materials to enhance the learning experience for customers and internal teams. This internship provides valuable exposure to technical education, digital training development, and scientific content management.

    JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:



    • Assist with the development of new online technical training modules
    • Support updates and revisions to existing digital coursework
    • Organize and structure course materials to improve learning flow and engagement
    • Collaborate with Technical Training staff to align content with customer training objectives
    • Assist with formatting, editing, and preparing training materials for digital deployment
    • Help evaluate course structure and identify opportunities to improve clarity and usability



    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline
    • Familiarity with online learning environments or digital coursework platforms preferred
    • Basic understanding of scientific instrumentation concepts is a plus
    • Strong organizational, editing, and content structuring skills
    • Familiarity with online learning environments or digital coursework platforms preferred
