Position Title: Mechanical Assembler/Unit Builder
Wage: $27-$33/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Mechanical Assembler/Unit Builder for a company in Richfield, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Mechanical Assembler/Unit Builder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Review engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to understand the layout, components, and assembly sequence of Temperature Control Units (TCUs) - Gather all necessary materials, components, and tools required for TCU assembly, ensuring availability and readiness for the assembly process - Assemble TCU components, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves, sensors, controls, and electrical wiring, according to specified configurations and quality standards - Mount and secure TCU components onto frames, enclosures, or mounting platforms using hand tools, power tools, fasteners, and hardware - Route, connect, and terminate electrical wiring, cables, and connectors according to wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes - Install and connect plumbing and piping systems, including hoses, tubing, fittings, and connections, to facilitate fluid circulation and temperature control - Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues, mechanical problems, or component discrepancies encountered during the assembly process - Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace and during assembly activities Mechanical Assembler/Unit Builder Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related field preferred - Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately - Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically to ensure accurate and precise assembly of TCUs - Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and mechanical problems - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment - Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines - Self-motivated individual to work independently or as part of a team - Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for extended periods teresa.considine@qpsemployment.com IND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
