You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, and perimeter zones, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and local authorities as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and enforcing posted rules and regulations in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity reports, and handle and/or maintain assigned equipment in accordance with training and policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
