As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and document observations, incidents, and policy violations in written reports and/or activity logs.
• Support access control by verifying identification and/or authorization, assisting with directional information, and helping maintain orderly entry and exit flow.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
