Job Description




As a Security Officer - Defense Flightline Patrol Driver in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-profile aerospace and defense location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and reports, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access at entries and restricted areas by checking identification, validating authorization, issuing visitor passes, and directing traffic flow in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting observations, and assisting with scene control as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems as assigned, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
