As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help create a calm, welcoming environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring activity, and supporting access control. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, and provide clear communication to staff, patients, and visitors. You will bring reliability, agility, and integrity to every shift while working as one team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned spaces to help maintain authorized access control, assist with visitor direction, and report unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical or facility emergencies, and requests for assistance from clinical teams.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and building perimeters, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or hazard concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete required security-related reports and logs, preserve incident details for follow-up, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and onsite stakeholders during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
