Job Description




As a Security Guard - Office Complex Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and clear communication. You will support tenants, visitors, and staff with customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, access control issues, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify property management and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access permissions when required, and direct visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs with accurate details, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
