Modern Technology Solutions, INC. (MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with ServiceNow, with strong expertise in API integrations and modern data management.
This role is 100% remote, requires US Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
This role is critical in driving innovation, enabling seamless integrations, and supporting the development of a robust digital ecosystem to enhance business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Platform Management and Optimization
  • Administer the ServiceNow platform, ensuring its performance and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and enhance user experience using ServiceNow features.
  • oManage overall platform lifecycle, including updates, upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing downtime.
* Development and Customization
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, and UI components to meet organizational requirements.
  • Build and deploy custom integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Create service catalog items, automation scripts, business rules, and integrations for ongoing process improvement.
* Strategic Vision and Solution Design
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions within ServiceNow.
  • Lead the implementation of new modules and functionalities that align with strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance on best practices, advanced use cases, and how ServiceNow can align with mission-critical goals.
* Support and Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
  • Lead the technical response for security reviews and compliance assessments related to ServiceNow.
  • Provide user support and training, empowering individuals to leverage ServiceNow capabilities effectively.
* Leadership and Knowledge Sharing
  • Stay updated on ServiceNow releases and industry trends to ensure the platform is positioned for the future.
  • Mentor junior administrators or developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Document processes, configurations, and operational workflows to improve knowledge transfer and team resilience.
Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Professional Experience:
  • Minimum 8+ years of application development experience.
  • Proven track record working with enterprise-grade applications such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, and Smartsheet.
Technical Skills:
  • Extensive working experience with ServiceNow and its application elements is a requirement for this role.
  • Advanced understanding of API lifecycle management, including creation, integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Expertise with JavaScript for application development and customization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
