This is an excellent opportunity for a Chief of Staff (40 hours/week) at our Milwaukee and/or Madison Administrative Offices.

PPWI's compensation philosophy is rooted in equity. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's applicable experience and internal equity. The Principal Gift Officer pay starts from$143,902 - $179,878 per year.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Chief of Staff (COS) serves as an organizational leader, strategic advisor and trusted partner to the President & CEO, ensuring leadership effectiveness, organizational alignment, and long-term growth. Acting as a conduit and proxy for the CEO, the COS prioritizes and coordinates commitments to maximize the CEO's impact on PPWI's mission as Wisconsin's leading provider, educator, and advocate for sexual and reproductive health.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the COS partners with senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that advance PPWI's mission and strengthen organizational performance. The COS also directly leads two agency teams - the Executive Office and Marketing & Communications - reflecting the critical importance of internal and external communications to PPWI's success.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., J.D., MBA, MPA, or related field) preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience, including roles in strategy, operations, executive-level support, execute-level leadership.
* Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
* Proven track record in external relations, stakeholder engagement, and donor relationship management.
* Experience supervising teams and developing staff.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment and involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is generally low. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations, however, may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform said essential functions.
Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary.
This position requires travel statewide, therefore a valid driver's license and auto insurance in accordance with agency liability standards is required. Must have transportation.
