Job Objective:
Performs routine property accounting tasks including recording capital activity, assisting with asset analysis, and supporting acquisition and divestiture processes.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparation of schedules, journal entries, and analysis for each of the following aspects of property accounting:
- Depreciation of pipelines, storage facilities, gas processing facilities and gathering systems, and corporate fixed assets; and
- Asset retirement obligations associated with pipelines, storage facilities, gas processing facilities and gathering systems; and
- Impairment of pipelines, storage facilities, gas processing facilities and gathering systems.
- Preparation of work papers to support the company's financial statements.
- Assist in preparation of schedules, journal entries, and analysis for the following aspects of acquisition and divestiture accounting:
- Record accounting related to acquisitions and divestitures accurately and timely in the Company's ledgers and consolidated financial statements; and
- Record opening PPC balances and purchase price adjustments related to business combinations.
- Assist with the audits of the annual financial statements.
- Research and prepare journal entries related to inventory.
- Assists Corporate Accounting team with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Assist with FERC accounting and reporting and schedules to support FERC Filings.
- Monitor and complete AFEs in a timely manner to ensure all Assets created.

Qualifications:
- Three years of accounting experience required with a minimum of one (1) year of property accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to identify and analyze accounting and financial reporting questions and develop solutions responsive to those questions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Preferred: Strong working knowledge of SAP
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in accounting required.
