SharePoint/.Net Developer

Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.

This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026

Position Summary:

The SharePoint/.Net Developer will work in conjunction with the NCIS IT team and is responsible for managing the function and activities of SharePoint including administration, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with other SharePoint developers, and analyzing user requirements and activities to maximize use of SharePoint.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Educate personnel on SharePoint content administration following approved data architecture, structure, and reports updates of SharePoint releases and new capabilities.
  • Manages and revises the overall layout and maintenance of SharePoint and customizes as required. Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.
  • Provides training as required. Consults on the optimum use of SharePoint to achieve needed requirements/business goals. Experience in .NET development.
  • Responsible for program design, modeling, simulation, coding, testing, debugging and documentation related to development. Formulates and defines specifications for new releases and modifies (maintains) existing application(s) using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
  • Responsible for applications dealing with the operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications / communications networks, accounting, advanced mathematical/scientific software packages (e.g., biometric applications), and applications specific to LE (Law Enforcement) and IC (Intelligence Community) domains.
  • Instructs, directs, and reviews the work of other software engineering personnel. Evaluates new and existing COTS and GOTS software products. Applies industry best practices to all development efforts.
  • Must have managed or had significant involvement utilizing SharePoint and .Net with complex or substantive information technology projects.



Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies.
  • Skilled in MS SharePoint, .Net, and software development using object-oriented and other general purpose languages (e.g. Java Script, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, Cold Fusion.Net).
  • Understands when agile methodology or a hybrid approach is required.
  • Experience with DoN (Department of Navy), DIA (Department, DoD, or LE application requirements
  • Minimum of Security Plus (+) certification or equivalent.


Physical Demands and Expectations:

  • Regular physical activity including walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
