The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Overview:

Responsible to oversee and manage Programs which are composed of several underlying, interconnected projects.

These projects complement and build off one another to achieve a larger, long-term business objective, which will help to drive strategic initiatives and organizational growth.

The Program Manager will have clear oversight over a group of related projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are executed, tracked, and reported in accordance with the specific goals and business objectives, as well as in alignment with IT and Project Management Office policies, procedures, and standards.

The Program Manager will ensure the affiliated projects are integrated with adherence to dependencies and focus upon triple constraints (cost, time, scope).

They will serve as the pivotal liaison surrounding program communications with attention to desired stakeholder s metrics.

They will attend key organizational meetings (steering, work groups, strategic teams, committee focused, etc as needed) as requested and ensure that the key components of their program are communicated and validate the program is accurately aligned with the organizational initiatives/directives.

Additionally, the Program Manager will ensure support from the key organizational stakeholders is maintained as well as demonstrate excellent vendor management.

Other responsibilities include resourcing projects, implementing strategies, measuring ROI, overseeing collaboration across project teams, and defining success metrics for the Program and the projects within it.

This individual will serve as the escalation point for Project Managers for any project within the defined Program as well as manage risk and mitigation.

This individual will work closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and consultants to onboard & train them, and ensure they are aligned with the project management methodology of RWJBH.

Education:

  • Preferred: Master s Degree
  • Minimum: Associate s Degree with 10+ years of related experience

Work Experience:

  • Preferred: 10+ years of project management experience with large scale projects; 5+ years of Information Technology & Services or Healthcare consulting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum: Ten (10) years relevant experience in project management
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, Project Management Information System/Project Planning tool
  • Success in large enterprise-wide implementations requiring significant coordination

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Preferred: PMP Certification or working towards certification,
  • Active Member of PMI or similar organization

Job Specific Requirements

  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain focus on the end goal of all programs and projects
  • Facilitation and documentation of Program Meetings and Program Sponsor/Stakeholder meetings to ensure all projects within remain on track and focus upon documentation and assignment of resulting action items along with recognized risks and issues
  • Managing the expectations of Executive-level Sponsors who are responsible for specific projects that are specific to the goals within the Program
  • Conferring with Resource Managers, Program Core Team, affiliated vendors, Program Sponsors, Project Sponsors and all impacted parties surrounding incorporation and communication of the program mission, vision, and goals as well as the individual team member roles and responsibilities for the phases and milestones aligned within the program schedule
  • Coordination of a strong partnership with Project Managers affiliated with the Program
  • Execution and tracking of Change Management Process related to program change requests
  • Capturing and monitoring of program savings and cost as it relates to each project to include tracking financial reports in accordance with savings and cost allocation and reconciliation standards
  • Conducting and/or Facilitating Project Kick Off and Close Program Sponsors and Stakeholders as well as the various project managers
  • Ensure adherence is met to specifics outlined and detailed within the signed Program/project Scope Documents when applicable
  • Ensure project and program standards are executed throughout the duration of the Program (ie applicable documentation is compiled and stored in designated areas, processes are followed, communication plans are executed, etc)
  • Partner with the impacted PM s, PMO Leader, and Program leads to facilitate detailed program audits with resolution and attention to discovered areas of risk and concern
  • Serving as a pivotal and effective communicator, downward, upward and lateral surrounding all project details
  • Following PMO policies to validate that the program is appropriately, accurately, and transparently facilitated via the PMIS tool
  • Ensure all proper reporting is complete on a routine basis to ensure documentation and communication is accurate and up to date at all times to ensure proper reporting for the Project Management Office and IT Governance Steering Committee
  • Mentor and guide all consultants related to respective Programs/projects to ensure proper alignment with the PMO guidelines and processes
