Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Dosimetrist or Sr. Dosimetrist level. The Dosimetrist designs radiation treatment plans by means of computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and field placement technique per the physician's prescription to a defined tumor volume. This role considers dose-limiting structures in the design of treatment, and plans and documents dose in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Additionally, the Dosimetrist provides physics and technical support to the relevant staff and faculty in radiation protection, qualitative machine calibrations, and quality assurance of the radiation oncology equipment. The dosimetrist also assists in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures and helps in the application of specific methods of dosimetry, including ion chamber, TLD, or film measurement, as directed by the Chief Dosimetrist. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $156,120 - $194,121 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $74.77 - $92.97 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
