Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, you will act with integrity while helping protect operations, people, and property through consistent patrol activity and detailed reporting.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Minimum 5 plus years of Security experience Or prior Law Enforcement or Military (military police or combat arms MOS only)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, suspicious activity, and personnel concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, access points, yards, and perimeter areas, including inspections of gates, fencing, and restricted areas.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
