Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Wooster, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a leading healthcare location, you will complete visible rounds and vehicle patrols, support access control, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and teamwork that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and public areas for security-related concerns, assist with wayfinding, and report policy violations and/or hazards through proper channels.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
