As a Security Officer - Freight Gatehouse in St. Charles, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and visitors, manage gate and badge access, verify credentials, and track entries and exits. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of docks and yards, and report and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to approved areas.
• Support gate operations for commercial vehicle traffic by checking paperwork, validating appointments and/or load information as directed by site policy, observing trailer and container conditions, and reporting concerns through the established chain of communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and assisting with on-site directions and crowd control as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify security-related issues, and complete reports per site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
