Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Arrestee Transport in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas through routine vehicle and foot patrols, remaining highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post and an armed post, requiring an armed guard card or license and meeting driver policy requirements. You will build trust through clear communication, strong customer service, and teamwork while living our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, including surveillance cameras, radios, and access control points, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Prepare clear written reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings, and work with Allied Universal supervision and on-site leadership regarding follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
