Our Clinical Social Workers play a vital role in enhancing patient care by developing strategies that address the multifaceted challenges impacting health and well-being.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop & Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and staff to create and execute effective strategies to resolve or minimize health care challenges.
  • Provide Support Services: Offer education, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and support for long-term care placement, along with referrals to community and government agencies.
  • Document Interventions: Maintain comprehensive records of all social work interventions, including assessments, plans, and follow-ups, ensuring quality documentation for the medical record.
  • Make Informed Decisions: Utilize available resources wisely to achieve positive outcomes for patients and staff while adhering to sound business practices.
  • Innovate Processes: Contribute ideas and recommendations for improvements in departmental systems to enhance service delivery.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Assess urgent situations quickly, implement appropriate actions, and communicate necessary information to management.
  • Incident Reporting: Prepare reports for any incidents or occurrences and inform management of key decisions made.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Strong understanding of social work values and ability to leverage educational and professional experiences to foster positive change.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse patient population, providers, and staff.
    • Ability to guide and mentor social work students, if eligible.


  • Licensure: Current Maryland licensure with the Board of Social Work Examiners or eligibility for LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C licensure.

Salary Range: Minimum 29.86/hour - Maximum 49.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
