Johns Hopkins All Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, we're dedicated to treating children with both rare and common cancers and blood disorders. Our hematology and oncology experts specialize in treating children, teens and young adults, using the latest advances and most innovative therapies. The APP provides patient centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an inter-professional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. APPs are board-certified providers that assume responsibility and accountability for health stabilization, promotion, and maintenance of acute and chronic illness or injury. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing and JHACH policy. Through collaborative practice with all members of the care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by JHACH. The professional practice of nursing at JHACH involves the promotion of a culture of innovation and a commitment to academic growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing lumbar punctures (diagnostic & with intrathecal chemo).
• Performing bone marrow aspirations/biopsies.
• Managing admissions, discharges, H&P, daily patient management, discharge summaries.
• Managing chemotherapy protocols, medication management, and interdisciplinary care.
• Collaborating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Working with highacuity pediatric oncology patients (average census: 10-12).

Qualifications:

• Master's in Nursing / DNP or fully certified PA.
• BLS and PALS certifications.
• Acute Care NP preferred (AC-PNP or ACNP)
• One-year of HemeOncology experience (inpatient strongly preferred), but unit is open to new grads.

Salary Range: Minimum 49.54/hour - Maximum 76.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
