Position Overview

Stout's Transformative Change practice combines deep financial and data analysis, research, strategy development, and operational expertise to help clients achieve long-term, sustainable change in highly complex environments. Our work assists clients in achieving financial goals, implementing transformational strategies, adhering to compliance requirements, and evaluating impact. We support our clients through a combination of quantitative and qualitative strategies, which often include significant stakeholder coordination and collaboration, qualitative independent research, and quantitative measurement techniques.

Analysts and Associates support cross functional teams in designing and delivering transformative strategies for public and private-sector clients experiencing complex organizational and market challenges.. You will contribute to engagements that integrate quantitative analysis, qualitative stakeholder insights, and strategic planning to unlock new potential and deliver sustainable outcomes.

  • Contribute to the execution of transformative change engagements by supporting day-to-day workstreams, analyses, and deliverables
  • Help integrate quantitative data, qualitative stakeholder insights, and financial analysis into cohesive strategies and recommendations
  • Support collaborative, multi-stakeholder processes that surface diverse perspectives and inform sustainable solutions
  • Produce clear, compelling analyses and visualizations that help clients understand challenges, opportunities, and paths forward
  • Support the development of strategic milestones, evaluation metrics, and iterative learning processes that drive sustainable change

What You'll Do

In this role, you will work closely with senior team members and clients to support high-impact engagements.

  • Assist engagement leaders in planning and executing workplans, tracking progress, and meeting critical deadlines
  • Collect, assess, and analyze internal and external data, recognizing data limitations while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct stakeholder research through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and document review
  • Support financial, fiscal impact, and cost-benefit analyses tied to strategic and compliance objectives
  • Develop analyses, models, and visualizations that integrate financial, operational, and stakeholder data
  • Perform industry, market, regulatory, and system-level research
  • Prepare written client deliverables, including presentations, memoranda, reports, and exhibits
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to refine strategies through feedback, iteration, and evaluation

What You Bring

This section outlines the experience, skills, and background that will enable you to succeed in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, public policy, business, data analytics, or a related field
  • Approximately 2 years of relevant consulting, advisory, or analytical experience (e.g., management consulting, strategy consulting, economic consulting, litigation support, public-sector consulting, or analytics-focused roles). Analysts generally have 0-2 years of relevant experience, while Associates generally have 2+ years. Final title and leveling are determined based on individual candidate qualifications.
  • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data, including research, analysis, and synthesis
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, and Power BI) and statistical tools is a plus
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments
  • Independent, solution-oriented thinking balanced with a commitment to asking questions to ensure clarity of task, timing and expectations
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in systems-level change, diverse stakeholder perspectives, iterative change, and a willingness to engage in analysis and discovery of topics without precedent
  • Proficiency with responsibly using AI tools to improve efficiency and support research and data analysis
  • Experience working in database environments; basic SQL and/or Python coding skills are a plus
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
