Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for University Human Resources.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Creates, manages, and maintains job postings via Applicant Tracking System.
- Serves as the liaison between management, staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures.
- Provides guidance and direction to hiring managers and administrative staff in the handling of staffing transactions, including process and timing, documentation, approval, implementation and communication.
- Screens and evaluates candidates; checking references; and making recommendations to hiring authorities in accordance with relevant University policies and collective bargaining agreements.
- Provides customer service to job seekers via phone, and e-mail the employment process and system.
- Strives to continuously offer excellence in service with the goal to make Rutgers University an employer of choice.
- Researches system questions/issues, documents and determines solutions, and provides administrative support to the Talent Acquisition and Staffing team.

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of experience in human resource management; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Strong competencies in the HR disciplines such as: recruitment, selection and retention, compensation and benefits; employee and labor relations, professional and organization development and, safety and risk management.
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, consultative and decision-making skills are a must.
- Effective and confident communicator in both formal and informal business settings, with strong presentation skills.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Two years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, staffing, and onboarding including compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience in a labor environment.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
