The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company, is looking for a dedicated Regional Lead Administrator - IT Ops - Site Services to optimize our NuSil/ IT Ops - Site Services organization. This Carpinteria, CA role is full-time, on-site.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related field of study or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience (3+ yrs):

  • Managing a team of IT technicians both on- site and remote.
  • ITIL best practices.
  • IT service management tools.
  • With PC, mobile, VDI, network, hosting, and printer technologies and vendors.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and project management.
  • Obtain/ maintain a USA government security clearance.

Preferred Experience:

  • With the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Complying with ITAR requirements for the handling and export of controlled technical data and equipment.

Travel:

  • Up to 10% (within the Americas region).

The Lead Administrator - IT Ops - Site Services is the point of contact between the IT Department and local site management, ensuring that the IT services and solutions are aligned with site needs and expectations. This role communicates and coordinates with other IT teams and vendors to resolve issues or requests that affect a site.

Considered a knowledge resource and utilizing business level communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills the Lead Administrator - IT Ops - Site Services is responsible for:

  • Identifying, researching and resolving complex technical problems.
  • Site relationship management (IT liaison with local site management)
  • Front-office printer management
  • ELT (Executive Leadership Team) support
  • Team management
  • Change management
  • Network projects
  • IT Onboarding and Asset Management
  • Creating and managing escalation procedures and ensuring service levels are maintained.
  • Documenting, tracking and monitoring problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
  • Validating/ coordinating the work of others on a support team.
  • Suggesting improvements to process
  • Managing the IT site services for regional USA manufacturing facilities
  • Managing a Service Technician team who are responsible for:
  • Deskside & walk-up support for PC, Mobile & VDI
  • Mail-back support for PC & Mobile
  • Conference room support
  • Desktop, laptop, mobile device & thin client management (receive, stock, issue, redeploy, tracking & disposal services)
  • Infrastructure site services (local support of data & voice network and hosting services devices led by L3)
  • Handheld device management

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$86,000.00 - $138,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
