Position Description JOB POSTING JOB OPENINGS - 1 Shift - 2 Job Title: Weld Cell Set-up & Operate Rate: $19.50-23.04 p/hr JOB DESCRIPTION: 1. The Set-Up & Operator must have a working knowledge of the safety concerns on the equipment along with knowledge of work instructions and procedures. 2. Must have the ability to select machine settings to perform quality welding using inert gases (GMAW) and tungsten inert gas (GTAW), and be able to quickly assess the soundness and integrity of the weld bead and make "teach point" corrections as needed. 3. Responsible for satisfactory penetration to insure quality weld, with good appearance and make appropriate adjustments if required. 4. Must be able to set up and operate all the equipment in the cell including the automatic welders and assist operators that might be assigned to the cell. 5. Will perform tests and appropriate repairs to tooling such as adapters, fixtures, and perform physical and quality checks of parts from tooling. 6. Provides production reports and maintains records where needed along with maintaining equipment through preventative maintenance, moving materials, loading wire coils, and performing quality checks, along with changing fixtures and testers as required. 7. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the area. 8. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Key Responsibilities Required Education & Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Must be qualified to perform the duties of the occupation in accordance with quality and quantity standards and to perform the physical, mental, and visual requirements of the job in a safe and efficient manner.
