POSITION SUMMARY:


The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of AtriCure's buildings, grounds, and building services. In addition, this position will also manage our HVAC, water purification, and compressed air systems that make up our controlled environments used to manufacture medical devices.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:



  • Direct supervision of the Facilities Coordinator the Maintenance Technicians
  • Provide process and procedure training for direct reports
  • Understand controlled environment design, use, and equipment needs
  • Develop building equipment preventative maintenance procedures
  • Ensure all necessary spare parts and supplies are purchased and stocked as required
  • Maintain controlled environments to AtriCure and ISO specifications
  • Evaluate opportunities for process improvements
  • Act as a liaison between service requesters, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Monitor building and grounds conditions
  • Manage and prioritize the repair and maintenance of buildings and building systems that minimize disruption to events and work schedules
  • Manage building improvement projects, construction projects, and construction phasing based on project plans and schedules
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Facilities, Security and EHS personnel to ensure that policies addressing safety, efficient and effective operations are in place, and reviewed and updated regularly
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors for materials, supplies and projects
  • Familiar with state and federal standards such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • Track spending and adhere to budgets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Excellent understanding of Facilities/Maintenance department function
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task and high level of organizational skills
  • Strong level of attention to detail and diligence to maintain accuracy
  • Self-motivated
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding focus on customer service
  • Ability to travel 10%



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Understanding of equipment layouts and improvements for manufacturing spaces
  • Experience in equipment/process qualifications
  • 1-year previous supervisor experience
  • 3 years previous facilities/maintenance experience



OTHER REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
