Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

At West Bend, how we hire now matters just as much as who we hire. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and evolve our enterprise talent acquisition function - someone who can think strategically, lead confidently, and roll up their sleeves when needed.

You play a critical role in shaping how West Bend attracts, evaluates, and brings talent into the organization. Working closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders you'll anticipate workforce needs, shape talent acquisition plans, and ensure every interaction reflects who we are and where we're headed.

What This Role Is Really About

This role blends thoughtful strategy with hands-on execution and is designed for a leader who can comfortably navigate both. You'll be responsible for:

Setting a clear, practical talent acquisition strategy aligned to West Bend's business priorities
  • Leading and developing a team of talent acquisition specialists - setting expectations, removing obstacles, and raising the bar on quality
  • Bringing consistency and rigor to how we intake roles, source talent, facilitate interviews, and close offers
  • Partnering with leaders to think differently about talent and hiring decisions
  • Using data and insight to spot issues, improve outcomes, and tell a clear story about what's working and what's not
  • Ensuring our talent acquisition tools, vendors, and processes enable better work
  • Elevating our employment brand in real, tangible ways through partnerships, events, early-career programs, and community presence
  • Ensuring our talent acquisition practices are fair, compliant, and aligned with our values

You'll also play a key role in continuous improvement - testing ideas, refining processes, and partnering with the Talent COE where shared solutions make sense.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has been in the work, not just around it. You'll find success in this role if you bring:

  • Several years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leading a talent acquisition team
  • A track record of scaling or evolving talent acquisition efforts in a growing or changing organization
  • Comfort using talent acquisition metrics to guide decisions - without losing sight of the human side of hiring
  • Strong judgment, credibility, and the ability to push back thoughtfully when needed
  • Experience managing ATS platforms, vendors, and talent acquisition budgets
  • A leadership style that's supportive, clear, and grounded in accountability
  • A clear communicator who can lead change without overcomplicating it

Why This Role Matters

The Talent Acquisition Manager has a meaningful opportunity to shape how West Bend grows - by evolving and designing forward-thinking approaches - new tools, models and approaches that support anticipating workforce needs over time, while strengthening what already works today.
