Coherent Optical Working Student

We are looking for an intern to join the Optical Systems Group. You will work on experimental methodologies to drive the design and verification of distributed optical controls and optical performance of Nokia's embedded transponders. A unique opportunity to contribute to the design and architecture of highly advanced optical transponders based on disruptive photonic integration technology.

You will:

  • Assist in test automation initiatives

  • Improve robustness and generalization of measurement tools

  • Document results using established tools

  • Report on status to team leaders and management

You have:

  • Experience with electrical and optical test equipment

  • Experience with implementing automated test scripts

  • Experience with networking protocols

  • Programming skills in Matlab, Python, VB, and other scripting languages

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent team-working skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Availability to work on a full time basis (35h/week)

Education:

Completed 3rd year, or registered in a Graduate Degree Program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics program
