Senior Network Engineer - Clearance Required

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support an enterprise-level federal aviation program operating within a complex, mission-critical, environment.

In this role, you will work closely with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams in developing reliable, end-to-end network & system solutions. The ideal candidate will lead collaborative efforts to turn organizational goals into actionable technical strategies that optimize operational readiness within an evolving technology landscape.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform system level design and configuration of MSNE systems including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing sponsor networks.
• Lead recommendations that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of customers communication systems and networks hardware and software.
• Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade/cost studies.
• Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts
• Supports local, regional, and wide area networks (WANs), and customers communication systems and networks supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.
• Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services
• Perform a variety of system engineering tasks that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation; troubleshoot unique or complex problems.
  

Here's what you need:

• 10 years' experience designing local, regional, network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.
• 5 years' experience leading teams to address complex IT projects.
• Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CNNP)
• Large enterprise environment experience
• Experience providing senior-level engineering support and subject matter expertise

Bonus Points If You Have:

• PMP
• Experience working in NAVAIR/NAWCAD

Security Clearance:

• DoD Top Secret

Education:

• B.S in technical or IT discipline

Work Schedule:

• 8am - 4pm

Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000-190,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
