Overview

We are hiring two Sponsoship Leads - one focused on Microsoft Build and Ignite Sponsorship and another focused on AI Tour and AI Tour for Partners

TheSponsorship Lead focused on Ignite and Build will drive the cross-event strategy and end to end integration of sponsors into Microsoft's two most important global flagship events. This role is the left to right leader of strategic sponsorship program execution-ensuring alignment across inventory planning, sales, operations, to partner marketing, and sponsor content, and experience design and orchestrating deep integration across Microsoft Ignite and Microsoft Build event workstreams.

The Sponsorship Lead focused on Microsoft AI Tour and AI Tour for Partners drives strategy, alignment, and execution of sponsor integration across Microsoft's fastest-growing global event series. This role is responsible for both tours' sponsorship workstreams and for ensuring regional partner strategy alignment.

Both roles directly deliver on key event objectives including profitable revenue growth, contribution margin improvement, target attainment, Net Promoter Score/re-sign rates, and Sponsor return on investment (ROI), while driving a substantial share of the full fiscal year event sponsorship revenue target.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sponsor integration strategy and execution for Ignite and Build across all event workstreams
  • Serve as the primary event Point of Contact (POC) for Architect/Executive Producer, Experience Marketing, Creative, Rhythm of Business (ROB), comms, and content leads
  • Manage sponsor deliverables across inventory, sales, sales operations, content, and partner marketing
  • Oversee and evolve the event communications rhythm-including executive updates, cross-team reporting, and decision pathways
  • Partner with Experience Marketing and Creative to define 3-5 "go big" sponsor innovation experiences each year
  • Ensure high quality delivery of sponsor content, demos, activations, and premium experiences
  • Evaluate and influence pricing strategy, inventory performance, and Year over Year (YoY) growth opportunities
  • Identify partner and internal feedback mechanisms and operational improvements to grow revenue, increase margin, streamline delivery, and enhance sponsor satisfaction

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years business to business, digital, media, or experiential/event marketing experience
    • OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 6+ years business to business, business to consumer, enterprise technology, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience in the technology industry
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment across creative, content, operations, and sales
  • Experience interpreting financial metrics and optimizing revenue/margin outcomes
  • Event experience with Microsoft Ignite, MIcrosoft Build, or Microsoft Ignitie Tours or other flagship Microsoft events-or similarly sized third-party events
  • Experience creating or executing large-scale customer or partner experiences
  • Experience with partner and commercial audience marketing
  • Experience in project management

Events IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
