Overview

As a Marketing Technology Architect, you will be a strategic leader responsible for designing and evolving the architecture of our global MarTech ecosystem. You will partner across marketing, engineering, and data science teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and innovative solutions that power audience-centric marketing, accelerate campaign velocity, and enable AI-driven personalization. This role is critical to advancing our Adobe platform strategy, AI and Agentic solution development, and marketing tech and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture of the Microsoft's Marketing MarTech stack, including Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, RTCDP, Marketo), Adobe Content Supply Chain (Firefly, GenStudio, Express), B2B and B2C data and signal flows, and GenAI platforms.
  • Platform Strategy & Roadmapping: Collaborate with marketing, 3rd parties and engineering leadership to align platform capabilities with business goals, including roadmap development for Adobe Cloud and GenAI solutions.
  • Build and govern Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and connectors across MarTech and data platforms
  • Serve as MarTech platform subject-matter expert for platform onboarding, internal training, and cross-functional design workshops
  • Support overall strategy by translating technical roadmaps into business-facing solutions for leadership discussions
  • AI & Automation Enablement: Partner with the GenAI Center of Excellence (COE) to integrate AI/Machine Learning (ML) models (e.g., Next Best Action, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Recommendations) into marketing workflows and content generation.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all implementations meet enterprise data standards, privacy regulations, and responsible AI principles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between marketing, IT, and analytics teams to ensure seamless integration, operational efficiency, and platform adoption.
  • Innovation & Optimization: Lead initiatives to reduce platform operating costs, improve Service-level Agreement (SLA) performance, and enhance user experience through automation and simplification.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing technology, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Marketo, AEP, RT-CDP), marketing automation, and customer data platforms
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with API-based integrations and orchestration across MarTech, AdTech, and data platforms.
  • Track record of collaborating across legal, privacy, engineering, and analytics functions to deliver compliant, scalable solutions
  • Understanding of AI/ML applications in marketing, including GenAI content tools and predictive modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
