Hill International is seeking a Project Manager II in Santa Ana, CA


  • Manages moderately complex projects using project management principles, tools, and techniques under time constraints, shifting priorities, and making critical decisions with minimal supervision. Deliver on team goals by influencing department stakeholders and exercising independent decision making.
  • Responsible for directing project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure for core disciplines of project management (scope, schedule, and budget) independently.
  • Collaborates with peer Project Managers, department/division senior leadership, and other stakeholders' departments as a key consultant to provide recommendations to drive projects forward.
  • Manages planning, development, and/or execution of electric transmission/distribution projects, which may include wildfire, infrastructure replacement, load growth, poles, line upgrades, maintenance, installations, etc.
  • Drives milestones and reports on projects which may include designs, schedules, projects applications, compliance and safety documentation, regulatory filings, and local and state agency coordination.
  • Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers
  • Ability to communicate effectively and with impact, maintain positive working relationships, and exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with multiple parties.
  • This position requires traveling to project site locations or other facilities across SCE territory up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience with projects in the field.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Power BI.
  • Electric utility experience preferred.
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Must be local to Southern California.
  • This position requires traveling to project site locations or other facilities across territory up to 50% of the time.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
