DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services provides direction, education, oversight for president policy process, investigatory services, auditing and monitoring, guidance and resources to the University to optimize ethical and compliant behavior, provide assurance, and improve operations through effective controls and processes.

We provide tools and resources to our campuses to help fulfill the mission of the University in an ethical and compliant manner.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a TEMPORARY position within our Temporary Office of the President Staffing (TOPS) program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Associate will primarily focus on supporting ECAS' Audit and Compliance professionals with their large-scale, high impact systemwide projects through: project materials preparations and maintenance

  • Stakeholder feedback integration; draft proof-reading, editing and formatting

  • Meeting scheduling and note taking; milestone reporting and general correspondence.

  • More specifically, the Senior Associate will support:

  • Audit data migration from the old audit management system to the new audit management software

  • Compliance's hybrid event preparations for the three upcoming Research Security training events, as well as facilitating communications with our federal government business partners, as well as the event vendors

  • Project Management Office's ECAS Website upgrade project through scrubbing and uploading content, document migration, link maintenance, and metric reporting

  • Policy Office by acting as primary vendor liaison between policy owners and remediation and translation services

  • Instructional Design and Training by conducting basic intake form review, initial project scoping, and basic design formatting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of administrative support experience in an office environment, demonstrating reliable execution of core tasks such as document management, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks or work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Outlook (Emails, Calendaring and Meeting Room Scheduling)

  • Familiarity with Share Point

  • GSuite/Box (Archiving)

  • Cascade (Website Content)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with compliance or audit environment, policy development, or another related field

  • Familiarity with the UC system

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

This position is part-time, working 3 - 4 days per week and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The person hired will be required to reside within California and will be required to report to work onsite at UC's Office of the President (UCOP) located in Oakland, CA.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the salary grade for a position. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position.

PayScale/ budgeted hourly range: $39.66/hour - $55.70/hour. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
