Your Team, Your Impact

As a Financial Analyst at Marvell, you'll work closely with the business unit you support to provide meaningful data analysis. Your team has a certain budget for resources and you'll help them decide how to use that budget most effectively. Should we get more new lab equipment or hire another team member? Are we on track with the forecast? Will this new product deliver a positive return on investment given its costs? You're the one providing the analysis to help your team decide.

What You Can Expect

Financial Analysis

  • Dive deep into financial data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to uncover trends and insights that will drive our success

  • Craft and present financial reports that tell a compelling story, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with variance analyses

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape our annual budgeting process

  • Develop and manage financial models that empower us to forecast accurately and perform scenario analysis on Opex, Capex, and Headcount

  • Keep a watchful eye on budget vs. actual performance, providing strategic recommendations for adjustments

Cost Analysis

  • Be part of our drive to optimize manufacturing and operational expenses through detailed cost analysis

  • Evaluate product costs, pricing strategies, and profitability to ensure our competitive edge

Project ROI

  • Utilize your financial acumen and Excel skills to develop robust models that calculate key performance indicators such as payback, NPV, IRR, and ROI, enabling comprehensive evaluation of project feasibility and long-term value

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate critical inputs-including R&D expenditures and detailed cost modeling data-to ensure accuracy and reliability in your financial assessments

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Dive into exciting ad hoc financial analysis projects and deliver insights that will shape our strategic direction

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance related degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc) or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including active working knowledge of data sorting, creating pivot tables, v-lookups, and other data mining experience utilizing advanced Excel functionality

  • Highly Accurate, thorough, with strong attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over Accuracy

  • Someone who consistently goes the extra mile

  • An analytical problem solver who is collaborative, proactive, responsive, and reliable

  • Agility to change and think on your feet

  • Possess energy and passion for your work in data analysis

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

91,000 - 134,640, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
