Job Objective:

To test, review, document and release raw materials and final product using internal and/or customer supplied methodology and specifications in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform testing procedures of the Quality Control Laboratory Manual, customer specific test procedures, and additional procedures as defined by the Lab supervisor.

  • Responsible for making and documenting decisions on test variation(s) / abnormalities and reporting those items to the Laboratory Manager or Group Leader in a timely manner.

  • Documentation of test results using appropriate forms; preparation and issuance of applicable releases and reports using documented test data. Enter test data into appropriate data base file (as required)

  • Perform necessary gauge calibration / verification as required by test method.

  • Responsible for making decisions on inspection non-conformances and documenting inspection results in appropriate forms and/or data files.

  • Follow all safety regulations per chemical hygiene plan for Q.C. Laboratories and associated work areas.

  • Participate in periodic review of work/process procedures to verify that they reflect actual practice.

  • Assist in the training of additional technicians.

  • Responsible to bring to the attention to Management any abnormalities I maintenance I calibration issues of test

  • Perform Basic SPC charting and analysis necessary to track the consistency of product over time.

  • Responsible for record retention and storage.

  • Participate in equipment laboratory cleaning system consistent with 5S Methodology.

  • Be a self- directed employee able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Other duties assigned

Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • QC lab experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge and ability to use MS Windows/Word/Excel.

  • Ability to learn and utilize MS Access, Oracle, ETQ Document Control and Non-conforming material modules and Test Suite data acquisition systems.

  • Ability to learn and utilize test equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret written instruction, to complete detailed test procedures and to perform data entry.

  • Ability to maintain or exceed work standards which will be reviewed at regular intervals.

  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Good interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance at the job site.

  • Mechanical ability and problem solving intuition is desired.
