Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Division: Beazley Shared Services - IT Reports To: As per Beazley's organizational chart Key Relationships: Delivery Team Members, Scrum Master, Product Manager, Product Owner Job Summary: As a Senior Business Analyst at Beazley your core purpose is to build a strong understanding of end to end user journeys and processes to be able to accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document requirements, processes and scope. You are a key member of the Product Delivery Team, focusing on "building the thing right" whilst ensuring a happy tension between within the team; balancing the trade-off between value, technical debt and building scalable solutions, essentially keeping an eye on "building the right thing". Key Responsibilities:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the Beazley business and technology landscape.
- Elicit, understand, challenge and translate the business value into requirements, creating appropriate user stories of the right quality at the right time.
- Analyse, document and challenge end to end business processes and customer journeys.
- Suggest process improvement opportunities and solution designs, including associated costs, risks and benefits.
- Ensure traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment between requirements, user stories and test output, including managing User Acceptance Testing.
- As a member of the product team, be the link between the internal stakeholder, technical teams and any third-party regarding people, process and technology throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring ownership of the shared outcome you are centred around.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure that any user story is detailed, thorough and ready for development, owning the story from conception to final delivery of value.
- Aid stakeholders in understanding trade-offs and achieving consensus.
- Ensure solution designs align with Enterprise Architecture principles as well as any design principles and strategy decisions made within your product team or the platform, ensuring guidance is sought if necessary.
- Proactively monitor and communicate industry, functional, and technology trends to stakeholders as well a coach them as to how best harness these to drive business value.
- Ensure that all relevant staff receive clear and frequent updates regarding business analytical tasks and progress as necessary.
- Adopt a data driven approach in all activities, not only when giving an opinion or arguing a point but being a guardian for how data flows through the organisation and how it must be respected as a key performance driver.
- Build a relationship with your Product Owner, understand their business and challenges.
- Understand who your customer is and how the product impacts them in order to ensure you are driving the right outcome.
Product Delivery Responsibilities
- Lead contact working directly with all key stakeholders involved in a product launch to fully utilize our technical platform and ensure optimal processes across all areas of the business. Possess an in-depth knowledge of our products, platforms, business processes and distribution methods.
- Employ a number of techniques when eliciting requirements from business representatives including interviewing and facilitating workshops.
- Cross-organization collaboration to define and document comprehensive business and system requirements
- Partner with Configuration and Quality Teams to define acceptance criteria and develop design of systems and processes as appropriate across the business.
- Understand and promote innovative process design in addition to agreeing requirements. Identify key gaps in our current capabilities and develop proactive strategies to solve them
- Partner with UCO Trainer to document and deliver training to the organization
- Work within a variety of project and solution design frameworks as required at Beazley.
- Assess and mitigate risks and issues.

Personal Specification: Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience
- Translating business requirements to technical specifications
- Data flow & contract analysis and definition
- Effective user story writing/management
- Skilled in the analysis and documentation of complex business processes.
- Working in an Agile environment
- Working with teams located across multiple time zones
- Experience with multiple methods for the elicitation, validation, and documentation of requirements for complex Information Systems
- Exposure to a wide range of complex Information Systems across a global enterprise.
- Experience working with global product teams, software providers, and outsourcers.
- End to end experience of the product lifecycle over numerous medium and large-scale projects.
- Broad understanding of product delivery practices and management methodologies
- Able to communicate complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with multiple methods for the elicitation, validation and documentation of requirements for complex Information Systems
- Proven end to end experience with the product lifecycle over numerous medium and large-scaled projects

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000-110,00 per year plus discretionary annual bonus. Don't meet all the requirements?
