Preconstruction Manager - Controls

In this role, you will drive consistency & confirm accuracy across Preconstruction through standardized controls and data organization. You will reduce administrative burden by handling standard project set-up and close-out activities across Preconstruction systems, and be responsible for new employee set-up, database maintenance, and ongoing estimate support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as direct support resource to Pricing Leads and estimators
• Support and ensure compliance with Precon best practices and standards
• Maintain databases, templates, & bid forms, including updates to the Haskell Corporate WBS
• Estimate Set-Up:
  • Ensure every estimate starts with an accurate and consistent foundation
  • Participate in Precon Kickoff Meeting
  • Responsible for estimate set-up related data entry in systems such as AirTable, the P:Drive, SharePoint, BuildingConnected, Beck DESTINI Estimator, Accubid, FastPipe, and Join.
• Estimate Close-Out:
  • Ensure every estimate deliverable is accurate and consistent prior to turnover to Ops
  • Participate in Estimate Turnover Meeting with the Operations team
  • Responsible for estimate close-out related data entry in systems such as AirTable, the P:Drive, SharePoint, BuildingConnected, Beck DESTINI Estimator, Accubid, FastPipe, Join, and Oracle.
  • Enter budgets in Oracle
• Database Maintenance:
  • Maintain databases, templates, & bid forms in all Preconstruction systems with updates to the Haskell Corporate WBS
• Ongoing Estimate Support:
  • Support cost history
  • If estimate data is lacking or inaccurate, responsible for updating accordingly
  • Support estimators in ensuring compliance with Precon best practice and standards
• New Hire Support:
  • Execute standardized onboarding for new hires with consistent access, process, tools, & training
  • Serve as New Hire Buddy for all new Precon team members
  • Responsible for adding new hires to all pertinent applications, email groups, rosters, etc

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in accredited construction-related curriculum, such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or equivalent
• 5+ years of Preconstruction, estimating, project controls, or database maintenance experience preferred

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
