The Event Marketing Senior Associate is responsible for delivering strong brand experiences at high-impact events where RSM is a sponsor, exhibitor, and/or speaker. This role involves working closely with the event marketing manager, program stakeholders, vendors and subject matter experts to coordinate event logistics and ensure the smooth execution of event activities.

They will execute on the event strategy to help RSM differentiate from competitors, expand our audience base and advance pipeline opportunity. The event marketing senior associate plays an important role across numerous strategic events simultaneously, balancing creativity and process improvement. They must be confident managing project tasks involving a wide range of collaborators - from external vendors to firm leaders to marketing and communications peers.

As a brand champion they strive to deliver the event experiences that demonstrate the power of being understood with internal teams and external event audiences.

Essential Duties:

Core event responsibilities:

  • Logistics execution: Manages all aspects of event execution, such as logistics, venue selection, catering, booth creation, audiovisual, promotional products, etc. solo or in collaboration with event marketing manager.
  • Vendor communication: Ensures timely communication with event vendors, including negotiating contracts, coordinating material submissions, and ensuring timely delivery of all event-related materials
  • On-site coordination (as needed): Supports the practice team and/or program marketer on-site, managing booth and material logistics, coordinating RSM attendee logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of all event activities
  • Presenter logistics: Manages content projects related to event presenters, including brand reviews for presentations, CPE requirements, etc.

Event promotion responsibilities:

  • For RSM-hosted events: Manages the registration and promotion projects, including invitations and social media approach - drafting copy where required
  • For third-party events: Ensures RSM team members have appropriate materials to champion their participation, may manage RSM web page projects promoting RSM sponsorship
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM), CTSM (Certified Tradeshow Marketer); preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required
  • Exceptional project management, time management and attention to detail, required
  • An ability to interpret industry trends and organizational objectives to inform decision making, preferred
  • A natural and passionate curiosity and interest in the event world, including trends, emerging technologies and novel method of engagement; preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners, required

EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years minimum experience planning and executing strategies for small and large events, with a proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding goals, required
  • Strong client liaison background and experience, preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects or events simultaneously through to completion, required

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Must exhibit an exceptional client service attitude, possess outstanding people skills and take a proactive approach in working with team members and colleagues, required
  • Passionate about the details to ensure a positive brand experience, required

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $77,700 - $128,200

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
